TikTok's safe zone in pixels

TikTok publishes its safe zone as a template for in-feed ads. On a 1080 × 1920 slide, keep text and faces out of these areas:

The top 240 px, where TikTok shows its tabs.
The bottom 660 px, where the username, caption and sound sit.
120 px on the left and right edges.
A column 180 px wide on the right, from 840 px down to the caption, where the like, comment, save and share buttons sit.

What that leaves

The safe area is 840 × 1020 px in the upper middle of the slide, and 660 px wide where it passes the buttons. Put the hook and anything people must read there.

TikTok draws its template at 720 × 1280. The numbers above are the same areas at 1080 × 1920. TikTok also says the safe zone depends on caption length: a long caption covers more of the bottom.
